I mounted the meter on a piece of the s shaped piece. I have the detector on a straight shaft I bought way last year. The mount is simply two pairs of 1/2" mineralac pipe clamps mounted back to back with a 1/4 inch bolt and nut. I use those all the time at work for clamping one pipe onto another. Available at any electric supply outfit, or plumbing shop.
