I got it figured out I think

Went to the beach I had trouble at the first time with the v3i. So thank you to the helpful people and the encouragement. I fiddled around with the gain and disc. And I learned how to approach the targets differently and pick out the different tones. Don't know if that makes sense to you but in my head it does lol.

If it is a salt water beach use a 950 or 12" concentric.

Rusty, a nice hunt there. Sure looks like you're getting the hang of the V3. Cool token, but how deep was it and the merc ?

Not to sound totally stupid but 950 or 12" concentric? And the merc and the token were in the same hole bout 8-10 inches in rock clay and sand.

You said you had some trouble and said you were at the beach. I said if you were at a salt water beach, you didn't say, you should you either use the 950 coil or 12" coil. They are not DD coils and work better at the salt beaches.

Oh ok sorry yes salt water. Ill have to wait to find some gold before I can buy any new coils lol, Thanks for the info I will be sure to start looking into the coils because its only a matter of time till I find gold.
