I Got Busted!

You gotta like that! <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> Congratulations!

More details, what type of site, old homesite I'm assuming, wow, Although I'm not a clad hunter I do hunt old yards and find my share so into the clad coffee can they go and at the end of each year I buy a coin I'll probably never get, I bought one of those last year. Glad you have the opportunity to find them where you are. Fantastic.

Thanks for helping me enjoy this find. Sharing the experience is half the fun. Found in a field containing former homesites dating to 1795. It's been "hunted out" for years. The pickins' are thin, spent 5 hrs. Sun. 1/2 dz. bronze nails, 3 buttons, some lead. My favorite settings are sens. 8, thresh. 00. disc. 50. Since this site has been reluctant to produce recently ,I tried something new. Sens. 10, thresh. -05, disc 50. Falsing on coal and all kinds of bits, but, manageable. This coin was 10 inches deep in area I have hunted. I thought it was a can , didn't lock, ID 28-36 and jumpy, could have been the high sens. and other trash.
I'm currently fighting the urge to clean the coin. The stains are from the sulfer in fertilizer but cleaning would leave it like new silver and I don't care for that either.
Thanks for helping me enjoy!
