I received a tracking number for a pending UPS delivery.
My dealer said they were going to call Minelab to try and drop-ship the detector directly to my house because of the delay,and they got that accomplished.

I just got the updated tracking information for mine it arrived at the UPS facility at 2:26 am today which is 15 minutes from my house and now it is going to sit there for the next 3 days until it is put on a truck for delivery Tuesday. My UPS guy usually does not come until late in the day. At least it is getting closer. I just hope it does not get lonely over the weekend, LOL

It pays to buy from your LOCAL DEALER i have mine seating next to me and did not have to check my shipping info every hour to track it down with ups. On my way out to prospect now....

Yeah but they're not open on the weekend, technically. They move stuff around (from hub to hub) and if you pay a huge premium you can get stuff delivered on Saturday but its usually like triple or quadruple the cost.

The detectors have not been shipped to most the dealers yet. They aren't even available the 28th. If your lucky they might get delivered on Tuesday 29th but the several dealers I am close with are holding thier breath! They were told they would have them the 19th
They had planned on being open at 12:01am 28 May 2012 to start the sales.Not that this would be a surprize of Minelab's Customer Service

They are closed for pick-up on Sat, Sun and Mon and it is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday.

It does pay to buy local. But if you local dealer lets you have it early don't tell every one and possibly get them in trouble with minelab.
