I give the Ace 250 a big thumbs up!

I've searched my yard completely about a half dozen times in the past 2 months with the BH LS, playing with different settings, and have come up with about $5 in clad, 3 silver Roosevelts, and a few 50's era wheats.

I thought I had plucked it dry until I received my Ace 250 today (with the stock coil), and searched it again.

After about 90 minutes I pulled up 3 Quarters that my BH was blind to, a handful of pennies, a dime and a nickel.
It started getting dark, so I quickly scanned over a few areas and got about a dozen more signals indicating more is out there for me to dig.

I do have one question, is it normal for the control box to emit a faint high pitched squeal? If I'm not mistaken, a squeal like that indicates a bad capacitor. Other than that, this machine works like a champ!

Some people can't hear that high pitched tone. I can hear it and it's normal. That is the turbo charger winding up! :beers:

should be silent unless there is a target under your coil.
Stay with it and see if battery drain affects it at all.

Yep, the noise is normal. I can hear mine even a few feet away if
it's real quiet.
No worries Goldburn...
