I found the oldest wheat and an early Minie.

I wasn't doing so well the other day. The place I was at was just trash. I moved on to two other places and came out ahead. At least I found two wheat's. It took a while to clean up the 1909 cent I found and it still looks bad. The 1956 wheat has great detail and a big cut in it.

I found the round ball first, 69 cal. At another location I found the 69 cal. Minie. After I found it I realized I was a 1/4 mile from a Confederate raid (Jone's raid) where he blew up a train tussle. It is an early cw Minie. Later on they used 58 cal.

Nice mix of stuff John,
hey if that bullett's got blood on it it'll be worth more. (or is it just rust)
Is that a dart at the top of the group pic? Like the wee sports car as well, looks familiar.

:beers:

Yes it is a dart with a plastic tip and no fins.

It was a big surprise to me finding that Minie. That is the name of the French man that designed the bullet. To hold it in my hands and think what that bullet could do to a person.
