Last year I posted about hunting a ghost town where my great grandparents were from. The town had been bulldozed and I didnt find much. I was told My great grandparents lived down the road. I followed the directions and found it. I have to get permission to hunt it. Dont know who owns it now. Had a hard time resisting the urge to grab the Vaquero and hunt it this morning. Anyway heres an old picture of my great grandmother and the place as it looks today. Hope to get to hunt this, Id pack a lunch and spend a day there.

Wow , you're Great Grandma sure resembled my Mom a lot , German ? I sure hope you can get to hunt that spot , that would be an incredible experience for you and everything a treasure no matter what you would find . It must have been amazing just to have been there . I think it would be pretty hard for the current landowner to turn you down unless he was rather heartless . Showing the owner a copy of that picture might help . Best of luck to you on this pursuit , I would sure like to see what you might find there .

Aint that something? We all come from folks long gone, with little or no trace of them ever being here in the first place..glad you backtracked your ancestors..you just gotta hunt it! You have rights to be there, "grandmothered" in after all...

Youre right dirtdoctor, everything there is a treasure. Theres an old rusted out wash tub lying there and my father or grandfather may have been washed in it when they were babies .

Mudpuppy, I wish i was grandmothered in , Id be there tomorrow.

hope you get that permission , looks like you may find some interesting family history, just pace yourself
