I Found My First V Nickel today

Sorry no picture yet, all I've done is wash it. It's completely Orange from the rusted nail that was next to it. Should I remove the orange color and if so How can I do it?
 
I found my first V today also. Way to go!
 
Thanks Goes4ever.It's a 1903 and it looks to be in good shape. I'll post a picture in the next few days. I have to buy a camera first.
 
I have never found an old nickel that has not been a rusty color. I wish they held up better. I use olive oil and a Q tip. It stays rusty in color but the black junk comes off and its not to abrasive

Thanks to you Goes4ever 2TF does work, You see I can still learn. A1908 Barber Dime and a V Nickel in the same week. Making Progress, looking forward to going to the Second Grade next year.

This one is to, by good shape I mean I can see all the detail , stars, date and everything else but its very pited. Its still a 100 yr plus coin coming out to see the light of day again. My Grandson Josh 9yrs old will like owning it anyway.
