I found a new home , decided not to ................

buy. The reason I decided not to buy and rent is I just can't bring myself to buying another fixer upper, a endless money pit that is none stop work that never seems to end, I just can't do it anymore after living in my 100 year old home back in Wisconsin for all those years  I'm sick of fixing this and fixing that, as I get older I'm just not up for it anymore.

Now the good news  I'll be moving into a brand new two bedroom two bath apartment, it's still being built as we speak! It's perfect for Ray and I knew it the moment I walked in and checked it out
I have never lived in a new place in all my life, it just felt right when I walked in, a simple new apartment, nothing fancy but with good water pressure, new stove, new frig, new central air and heat, new bathrooms and two of them ta boot :clapping: windows that aren't painted or nailed shut and electrical outlets that don't fall into the wall when you plug in your toaster

It's out in the country but not far from town or the Lumber Mill at all, it's in a great new safe clean area and I won't be on a busy main street any more ;) The builder who is the owner and myself hit it right off when I met him because we both have a history in the trades, good solid guy that is happy to have me rent one of his units, in fact he gave me the one I wanted, downstairs all the way at the end, the handicap unit, that's right, I'm planning for my future

When I first met him he was standing out front with his employees going over blueprints on the hood of his ford truck and the first thing he said to me when I got out of the Mighty Tundra, nice truck :yo:

I'm pretty excited about the move, plus I'll be able to get a dinette set and dresser now, I can put the Treadmill and my AB Rocket in the extra room which is good because I use them a lot plus I'll get a new bed to put in that room also for when any of you come to visit Bubba and myself here in Bama, you won't have to stay at the Holiday Inn because I won't charge you as much, hahaha

Bubba is gonna help me move, we will make short work of the move as I will supervise the move with a firm grip, hey, it's costing me lunch and a cold one might as well be the boss for a few hours

I'm hoping to get moved in before Christmas if they get the unit done because I'll be driving to AZ for the holiday but if they don't no sweat, I've waited this long, time is on my side :beers:

I also love my gardening and workshop.

You sound really excited... hope that all works out well for you.

this, I have pictures to prove it but I'm so warn out of it any more, it was my life and I just want to move on and not have to deal with the pain of grabing my tool box every other day of my life anymore, I just want to go fishing and stop and take a deep shot of fresh air, life is to short not to, thanks Mikie

and you sorta stand out not having the tan the rest of them do. Get away from that neighbor from hell too.

You will find yourself being able to relax too. I would not let Bubba do all the work though. If he is married, have him demand his wife come along to do the woman stuff. Like deliver the beer and such. Good thing is, you don't even have to feed them if they ain't pretty:thumbup:

You're just trying to get away from the crazy neighbor lady that you built the fence to keep out. She's going to find you Ray, just accept your fate. :D
