I found a cache of live 9mm bullets today!

Hi guys, I was detecting the beach today near my boat and hit a good signal. Out popped a 9mm live bullet! I did a search pattern around the area, and found another 5 live bullets! Then I found another live bullet, but a Bigger one. The smaller 9mm ones are stamped 43 on the base, and my friend who is ex military say that's the year stamp. So they are from the second world war. The larger bullet is not stamped, but I found one like it before, and it was also live.
No gold for a while, just live bullets. The police said thanks for handing them in, that's the second time in a month I've found live rounds. Gold next I hope....

Rifle bullet is a 30-06, also a common WW2 round.

Not to upset your authorities or anything, but I have thousands of each and practice with them regularly. But I have never found a live one detecting!

Oh heck, here in America live bullets are laying around all over the place! Especially in playgrounds! In fact, instead of woodchip ground cover, some schools are using live bullets since they are so plentiful...
Good stuff there, WW. Perhaps the good contact with the local constables might win you some good standing, and perhaps some hunting areas.:clapping:
Mud

Ha ha! Mud, you're a funny guy! Yes the police were happy to get them, still no gold for me yet, hope you're getting on better than me mate :)

Kinda like the BATF here. You don't mess around with things that can put you in federal PMITA prison regardless of how stupid the rules are. Stay legal regardless of where you are!
