I found a Buick

Larry (IL)

Well-known member
name plate that was made by J. W. Colgan Co which was in business from 1880 to at least 1929. I would like help finding what this went on and if a car, what year. The back is plain with the J.W. Colgan, maker, stamp. It looks like it might have been soldered onto something with a solder line along the top and bottom, rear.

I believe that Buick logo was first used in 1913. I'm not sure when it was changed. Since it was attached by solder, I believe it is a radiator head badge (emblem).

You nailed it Daryl, thanks.
