I found a buckle today

I went over to the school where my ol' bubby Ben found my Civil War bullet (long story another time) and found a buckle. It is brass and from Staunton Academy in Virgina. I did a little research and found out that Academy was open from 1860 - 1976. So the buckle is at least 30 years old. Who knows how old it could be. Here is the interesting part. On the back is a small plate with the cadets name and address on it. I am guessing that this would be his parents address. It is an address from Philadelphia. Now what is a buckle from Philly doin in Nashville? I am going to try and locate the man and give him back his buckle.

Maybe luck would have it, he is a politician or the head of the national park service. He would be so grateful he would change laws in favor of metal detecting. I know, I'm a dreamer.
