I found 8/10ths of a cent today

I found four Missouri tax tokens. Three of them were 1/10th cent and one half cent. Just kind of strange that I found them but no other coins at all. I was hunting in a park and I guess other detectorist left them thinking they were tabs. I didnt take a photo because it would be hard to get a picture with detail.

I was using the vaquero with low disc , digging up tabs because I heard tabs mask deeper old coins. This area of the park is full of tabs and its an old park so there should be some old coins right ? After digging a couple thousand tabs there the past three years and not one old coin below them , I give up on the spot.

There is nothing wrong with Tax Tokens,I like them as much as old coins,

If there are tax tokens there, silver should be there as well. How old is the location and have you dug any wheat pennies?

Its a hundred year old park and I have found a lot of old coins there, if I get down in the woods. Summertime I cant get in the woods so I hunt in the grassy areas that have been hunted to death. Im tired of digging tabs and not finding anything else. Its just not worth it at this location. There are just no old coins hiding among the tabs.
