I found 5 70 cal. drops in an area approx. 20x20 ft.

I understand these bullets were used primarily by the Ohio units. I'm trying to determine where an Ohio unit was during a particular battle, The fact that these appear to be drops leads me to believe that this might be where the Ohio unit was held in reserve. Any help or guidance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Nice big old chunks of lead. Man I wouldn't want to get hit with one of those.
