First off, I am not an expert on detectors, I just detect to have fun!!, but this detector is SWEET!!!! I know I have a lot of learning to do with it, but after reading alot of post about it, negative and positive I can honestly say I have no major issues with it. I will have to learn about the iron signal on/off and how to set discrimination for certain targets. I cranked the sens ALL the WAY UP and it ran very stable.I had no issues of falsing at all. I was at a park that I have found some old coins, but if has been pounded so long that in the last couple trips there I have found just recent drop clads. What convinced me was I got a solid signal and dug up a wheatie at about 7 inches, I ran the coil over the hole and heard a popping signal, dug down about another inch and out pops the iron nail. I think that's why this coin was still there, all the other detectors were reading iron. This is going to be a good machine after I learn the target ID number, they are different reading from my other main detector, but I will learn them. NOW, the only 2 MINOR issues are, I'm 6"2" and the headphone cord pulls while I'm swing the detector( the fix will be getting one of those adapter plugs so I can hook up my headphones( I'm not to much on building one like others have) and I put a piece of tape around the pole connections like someone else said they did( it works for me). I will have to wait until March to give it a test in the water, but mean while I will learn it on land. Not a bad batch of coins in about an hour! This is JMO I can't wait until I hit the woods after the holidays, that will tell all.!!!
