I feel so empty

I brought my detector over to my sisters house yesterday cause it needed to be fixed and her husband is a fix-it type guy, he said he could have it fixed by this morning, my nephews spent the night and I expected them to bring it back when they came to pick up the boys but they did'nt, my brother-in-law is always so busy doing other things I don't know when I will get it back, I feel empty without my detector, it is borring not being able to go out and detect, I don't have a spare one yet. I guess I'll actually have to stay home and clean the house.

Sorry to hear about your detector, I hope he gets it fixed soon. Maybe you could call him and threaten him about taking him out of your will if he doesn't fix it now? The only thing I like to do is sit for hours and turn beer into urine, you could try that?...Jer

Do like I'm doing today,dig out some of your cans,,jars and boxes of goodies and go through them to see if you remember where you found each item,and take some photos of special items to post on here.After you have been at this a number of years,you will have a few back-up machines.I have several in case one is needed.

When I am not detecting and not doing magic shows, I get some books out and DVDs on metal detecting and review. Now I bought a coin book and started putting the nicer finds away.

Course the best thing to do is research some areas to hunt. I have been sending letters out asking to hunt on private property, I find most folks let me....

that's what I wanted to do with my detector today, there are some woods between the river and the library that has a trail through it, according to what I have found about the history of my town the first house was built around that area.

I know the feeling...I hate cleaning the house.... im always wanting to go out detecting and i catch myself saying..that chore can wait till i get back...

I know, when the days are nice I would rather be out detecting, I try to go detecting the places that would bore my girls like the empty lot a few blocks down or around the sidewalk strips, while they are in school, I save the parks and stuff for when they are home so they have something to do while I detect, I like to stay out until it is to cold or too dark.
