I got out yesterday to see what I could dig up. I didn't detect for long, because of the heat and dry ground. I set the Outlaw's discrimination to its minimum and searched around the sidelines and bleacher area at a baseball field. I found most of the stuff in the shade of some trees that bordered the field. I guess I'm not the only one who likes to get in out of the Sun when it's hot. My trash to coin ratio is low because I found 3 pocket spills. One of them had around 10 coins in it. I found my first pewter, it's kinda of neat. I also found a 1990 20 Sen coin, a token, a junk ring and a church pin. No gold jewelry but I had a good time out with my Outlaw.

Heck of a lot of coins to trash - you were killing it! The drought here in Missouri is now worse than the one last year - two years of this in row is horrible. We're losing a lot of big, old trees and when you look at the woodline you can see that a lot of the cedar has died - the woods are a tinderbox waiting on spark
