I dug four targets today in four hours and one of them was a 1843 Large Cent ....... :cam:

Got out today with Craig and we hit a old park from the late 1800's, finally back in a old park where the Explorer always seems to shine and has in the past for me. This is my third Large Cent I have found in three different States, thats gotta be a first

There was a 22 shell just above the LC, I tossed the shell at Craig and went back into the hole for another handful of dirt and pulled the 1843 LC out, before I dug the target I let Craig run his coil over it, Craig's little coil pegged silver dime, my large coil jumped from silver quarter to iron and back and fort, Large Cents usually hit in the silver quarter area so I knew I had a good target :detecting:

After I pulled the LC out of the hole and handed it to Craig I ran my coil back over the hole and got the iron signal, I filled the hole with a smile on my face, the Explorer sniffs out another one

Thanks for letting me tag alone Craig, the burger and beer was a great way to end the day :beers:

"Craig, I know we're gonna pull a good one out of this park" ...and dang if ya didn't :super: I've seen Buddy's face when he pulled a good one, and I've seen James also, and now I can add ole Bean. Its a lot of fun when one of your buds :beers: digs a cool one. Here's the pic I took at the truck

It was a nice day, plus we talked with Ed and Buddy  ...and thanks for lunch. That greasy triple decker hamburger and onion rings with the cheese cake desert you ate looked mighty tasty

.... I betcha that greasy burger and cold beer went down damn good, huh!

Thanks for the phone call about your large cent find. Bet you were disappointed you had to go detecting instead of being with me to attend the 2 1/2 hour ballet recital for my grand daughter. I know Bubba was jealous!
