hello everyone!
i just got back from a 7 day vacation to texas and minnesota to see family and friends. i went with my girlfriend and came back with my wife...I GOT MARRIED! actually, by definition, we eloped. it was a spur of the moment proposal on friday quickly followed by a whirlwind wedding on the mississippi river in minneapolis on sunday, complete with two photographers, a videographer, an opera singer and a mustached minister/hipster. anyway...
i got back yesterday and got out today with dan the man. we each found silver. i got two rosies and 5 wheats. the find of the day wasn't a coin though. it was the 1/2 oz. 24K GOLD RING i found at about two inches! man, i couldn't believe it! i thought it was gonna be fake, but when i picked up the dirt-encrusted thing i felt the weight immediately. i wiped it off and saw the 24k stamp. i guess i let out some sort of sound that made dan think that i had found a seated. we stood and looked at it for about ten minutes. jeepers, was that ring heavy!
what a great day! after exchanging rings in minneapolis i come home to find a nice, fat wedding present in the dirt at my local park! thanks, park.
here are some pics...anyone know what the symbol is? thanks!
HH, Mike
