I don't like my new Cibola

I "love" it, what a great piece of workmanship in a small package (thanks Tesoro). I really like the low tone & the way it pinpoints. We have a very small park about 150 foot by 150 foot in my town (all there is in it is a basketball pole and net), I have pounded & I mean pounded the park with a Garrett Ace250/Fisher CZ-6a/White's Classic III/White's Prizm II/ so I thought today I would go back an try my Cibola there, if it found anything at all after all the pounding I have done it would put it to the test. I was there about a half hour at the most because of the rain starting & I found a quarter,2 dimes,2 pennies and a small gold (cheap) anchor that was once probably on a man's necklace. Well the Cibola made me a believer out of it. I think if I do the supertune thing I'll have to bring a backhoe to dig up the targets. Here is what I do - tell me if it is a good idea or not, I wave my wedding band under the coil and turn the discriminate dial to it just responds then go hunt. Not finding many nickles but I don't think there are as many lost as other coins. Thanks! Steve upstate New York.

One thing I found is that the size of the gold will determine where it discriminates. A thin ring will cut out sooner. I carry a nail and a pulltab with me to set the dial. Also higher sensitivity requires higher disc to cut the same items. I agree ,it's a good machine. I love the quick response.
