I dont know which detector to get. Some people say the f75 chatters alot, & then some people say the T2 is the way to go
because it runs smooth & not much chattering, also can you use the different coils on the T2 that work on the F75 HELP..

I own both and they both chatter some of the time. I wouldn't say one is worse than the other in that regard.

From everything I've read, you can NOT use the F75 coils on the T2.

They're both great machines.

I have a T2 now and have had the F75. I just have had better luck with the T2 as far as finds. Don't know if it was that the F75 was a bad early model or what. I'm sure it is a great machine also, but price has a factor in it also. I gave way less for my T2 than the $1000 + that the F75 costs. I have faith that First Texas will come out with a small coil and the 10" concentric coil in the near future. Also Sunray has the T2 in mind for the inline probe soon.

The only reason you get chatter is from not setting up the detector correctly for local conditions. Yes, early batches of both had quality control problems, but I can run my F-75 at a sens of 99 in town. I have the newest update F-75 that is weatherproofed, and has both better handle and battery box. When it comes to absolute depth there is no comparison, its the F-75 because of the Stat Mode which is a non motion hunting mode with i.d. It puts the other modes to shame, but does drift and you need to frequently hit the trigger to re-tune. There are 3 loops for the F-75 and they are not compatible with the T-2.
