I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I got stung by a StingRay today!

Got out with Kevin today. Went to the place I was fanning and found the half dollar. Will post pictures a bit later. BUT boy did I get stung. I found 4 silver quarters, a bunch of silver rings and a silver religious medal and a tungsten carbide ring. Kevin on the other hand pulled out gold. Not just ONE either! Will let him tell but boy does that stinger hurt!


A great day in the water. I had to stop into work for a few. Will post my messily finds after Kevin posts his.
 
You got to be pretty tough. I got hit by a stingray when I was a teenager, got very sick, my leg paralyzed all the way to my groin and I was in so much pain I threw up, was sick for several days, never want to go thru that again......HH

John, it was my friend with a StingRay detector. 6 gold to my none. If I find a stingray in the great lakes its time for me to dive somewhere else!!
 
Had me there too..even starting to read the post..I'm thinking.."fresh water Stingray,in Michigan"..no way,must have gone to the coast....been stung 5 times by rays,yanked/cut two barbs out..never laughed!!..
Bet my tungsten's bigger!!! LOL

I went to a different part of the beach than he did and although I found silver, he was detecting where most people have swam. I went back yesterday and found a silver dime and two more small silver rings. Going to load up my boat today and find a different spot. I have a few ideas and no sting rays will be around!

Bob, your right, your tungston is much larger than mine. Mine is in the third picture on its side.
