I Don't Know How Tesoro Did It

I just got my 5.75 concentric coil for my Vaquero and did some testing with it. It appears to be nearly as deep as the 9 x 8 stock coil. That's just unbelievable deep for such a small coil. The discrimination and separation with it is just fantastic. Yep, I'm going to do really well with this coil in the trashy places that I hunt. Get ready for some pictures, because I just know that I'm going to be finding some really good stuff with this new coil.:detecting:

Anybody else been using this coil?

I have had one for years, great little coil. I also have the 4" and 7" too, every coil has a place and purpose, mine are 5 pin

my next purchase will be a 5.75 inch coil for my Vaquero. I had one for my Silver

I have the 5.75" concentric coil and the 5.75" widescan coil.
Both are great, but the widescan coil is heavier than the concentric.
I hardly use the stock coil anymore although it is a great coil also, but I use my Vaquero around old homesites in the woods and I can weave in and around the brush and such with the small coils much better.
You are going to fall in love with the small coil!!
Good luck,
Felix

Excellent! I have the Wide Scan but have Concentric on the way. You just cant beat Tesoro products. Looking forward to seeing your finds.

Is the 5.75 Concentric coil that you all are talking about, the same coil that comes standard on the Compadre ?

Todd,

Yes, it is the same size coil as the Compadre, but from the different 5 pin coil connector

Randy (Hombre),
