I don't have much luck with nickels but gold is good

Took the E trac into a neighborhood yard that I have hunted several times with some other detectors. I always did pretty well. Got a junk signal and as the swing continued it jumped into the nickel range. I was using the Minelab 8 and I immediately slowed it down and swung from different angles. I got a good repeatable nickel signal. I was really happy when I saw the shine of gold in the hole. It is marked 10 k and I like the style. It seems to be an older heritage style ring. I will take it. Got to make me like the E trac even more.

Great find! It sure does look like an older style ring. Very nice.

Thanks everyone. I am new to the Etrac and this is my first ring with it. I was having a pretty slow day until it came along. The sound and numbers were very consistent. I don't think I even looked at the grid but dug based on the other two signs. I sometimes wish I would take more time and study things more before I recover signals. I am sure there are more clues I am missing that might help me in the future.

Great looking Ring Don - congrats !

Sweet dig! My wife would sweep that right out of my mitts and be wearing it already. looks like garnet and dimonds but thats my guess from the pic. great find bro!

Very nice ring. The color and style makes me think that it is pretty old as well.
