I'm a coin guy. But I'll take her. I was at a park just digging deep signals and this popped up. Found a couple older wheaties too.
My daughter is taking drivers training and yesterday and today she had driving range from 7:00-9:00 am. The place is only 2 miles from a big park so I was diggin while she was drivin. The park has a ton of fill dirt and had a lot of activity back in the day so the old stuff is way down there.

.... how "gold" does it look. Darker golds tend to be less k than lighter color gold.
 
Nice going on the ring. With a marking like that, it's OLD!

You might want to get a gold testing kit. It will have different strength acids to determine the Karat.
