I did the test on my GBPro & it's ver 3. Are there any problems with ver 3?

I haven't noticed anything wrong with it out detecting. Depths seem find. Anybody having any problems with there ver 3 gbPro? Any reason to upgrade it to ver 4?

Yeah i have problems with mine.No depth past 6" and push pad sticks some time.I am getting it looked at.
Finds nuggets still and my first one this year with a detctor.

I was told mine was a 4 but is a 3.I wonder if the 3 is hotter on gold then the version 4 but not as well on coins like version 4.Mine still finds clad and fairly good for in disc mode. Most machines I have had do not responde to clad like the GbPRo does.

Mine is still sensative to small foil bits, crazy sensative 3" on little alumnium foil pices-like grain of rice size.

I suggest doing some air testing. If you can get 10" on a quarter in disc. mode, with max sens. and away from EMI, you are in the right ballpark. 11" - 12" in all metals mode. If you get these depths air testing, and if you are having no other problems, I wouldn't worry about it at all. I am sure it is fine on gold -- that's what it was designed for!
