I've been sitting at 97 silver coins for the last couple of weeks. The silver Gods had put a curse on me...that is until today . I hit this old community hall with a baseball diamond and got 4 good silver dimes.

Of course my GTI 1500 is my workhorse for coins and never lets me down. The ground was so hard in places that I had to use a pri-bar and hammer to break the frozen ground. I knew I had to dig each coin signal if I wanted to succeed and find that "SILVER".

Here are my silver finds today. That 1896 dime sure made be happy! I was ready to get on my hands and knees to kiss the ground, but there was too much yellow snow around........

Congrats Big John! There was never any doubt here that you would break the 100 silver barrier. Now you can hibernate for the winter with a big smile.
I look forward to seeing your inventory of total coin/ring/artifact finds for the year. HB

Every year where you still have your health, family, friends and some good detecting treasure, is a darn good year. Are you going to get some coinrings happening again this year?

WTG, John!!! A more diligent 'tectorist, I have never seen!!

Yes, I hope to make some more rings if my work will slow down enough for me to catch my breath. Been unbelievably busy this year and haven't done much detecting or ring making. Winter should slow up though, and that is the best hunting season here, so maybe I can post some finds and ring craft while you are in your slow season. I've gotten pretty good at pounding out single sided coin rings, but I haven't even come close to the quality of your double sided coin rings. Those are fabulous. HB

Did you make those?? how?

Man i'm still amazed to see those rings made from coins, you've got talent.
I wish i had one.
