I detected a site the other day that I "hunted out" with my other detector

Well it's official, I now know that I find more coins with my Xterra 705 Gold, there is no doubt in my mind.

After using my last detector from one of the other guys for so long, I have finally proven to myself that my XTerra finds more. A few years ago I found a good site, it produced a couple of Indian heads, a Merc or two, and a few wheaties. Over the last few years I went back to that site multiple times, obviously I found the most on the first trip but I did find a few stragglers there after. On my last few trips to the site I found absolutely nothing, I figured that I hunted it out.

This week on my way back from a road job, I had to go right past the old site. I spent about 2 hours there, it produced a 1917 Merc, a 1941 Merc, an 1897 Indian head, a 1987 memorial penny, and some sort of an airplane button. I guess it wasn't hunted out after all, the Xterra 705 Gold showed its stuff!

I'm Glad to Hear that about the 705!!
I've had one for a month or more and haven't even had the chance
to take it out and try it out for myself.....work work work!...Oh well!
the grass here is fried and I don't like digging in ground that's as hard as concrete..
Glad to here the 705 is doing the job! Good luck!!!

I have had my xterra 705 for a couple weeks now and I love it. I have had other brands but really find the 705 a lot of fun with great performance.

It's been my experience that no site is ever truly hunted out, all it takes is a different coil or a better detector and once again it starts producing like in the old days. Continued good luck with your 705!

What's really cool about the Xterra, is that with a 3kHz coil on it, you can go back over the same ground again and it will look at it differently yet.
Three frequencies = three different ways to see into the dirt.

Yes, my brother has almost every coil for his 705. Many times he hunts and then rehunts with a different coil. He actually knows which coil finds more of what.

You are the man!
Great to see you
