I.D. Edge audio?

I was wondering does the I.D. Edge have the modulated audio built in were the deeper targets sound softer than the shallow targets? That's the way I like to hunt where the older coins are generally deeper so I just listen for the softer high tone like I did on my CZ's. Thanks for any and all replys.

Yes you can hear changes, especially in the single tone all metal mode. But note there are both volume and sensitivity controls dictating how loud the same target could register. There is a digital depth reading as the pinpoint has a 99 step depth read out to go along with the subjective audio indication.

The only problem I had with the ID Edge was with the volume being so weak. Other than the volume it is a pretty good detector.

You definitely need a good set of headphones, internal Edge full speaker volume a bit low.
I am using a set of Killer Bees with single volume control and are ear blasting at full volume.
