I created a monster!!

A friend of mine uses a department store brand detector, and has had it for several months now. To be honest, I didn't even know he was into the hobby. He kept it pretty hush hush, and so did I. He came over and our wives got talking, about how big of geeks we were...right away we looked at each other and said no f'n way!! You metal detect too?? He told me what he uses, an I showed him my Etrac and it's capabilities. Gave him a crash course in my kitchen. The next day, I thought I would surprise him and take my Etrac and gear out to him so he could try it out. Set it to TTF and told him if it's a high tone, dig it. He called me later that day....1940's silver dime spill. 3 in the hole. A handful of pennies and some relics...just from his front yard! He is super pumped and is ordering his Etrac from the same place I bought mine. He told me he is going to clean mine up and take it to bed with him and his wife lol. Gave him some tips: it's great for finding silver jewelry...scan the wife. Lol. I definitely created a monster, and another excited Etrac user!

That is so cool, you found a new metal detecting buddy that you already had. Awesome. :beers:
