Out after work and lasted a little over an hour in a sports field. We have a record number of mosquitoes this year due to excessive snow and recent rain. I even wore a mosquito net jacket with a head & face cover. It was made in China. Obviously, the designer has never even tried to use one, as the little varmints can easily sink their proboscis through the netting into my flesh... :rage:

Nice finds, John.

I'm assuming you are talking about black flies. We don't get them down here in Florida, for the most part, however we get our share of gnats and mosquitoes. Granted they aren't near as painful.

Good hunt John.
Sent those mosquitoes out your way for a Little company while you detecting.

It is so dry in Texas the mosquitoes can't live here.
Detecting has to be done sun up or after 7p.m. to tolerate the temperature.

[size=large]seems you should be able to get a gov't grant to catch and tag those bugs. somebody must be studing them. it would help defray the cost of the hobby and repellent. :wiggle:

No....the mosquitoes. We do get those black flies up here too. They literally take a chunk of meat out of you when they bite.
