I couldn't take my 5x10 out hunting but I did take it thru my test garden

There is only 1" of snow up here in northern Michigan and the temps in the high 30's but the ground is froze solid. I did take my new 5x10 thru my test garden. I wiped off the 1" of snow and the 5x10 was about 1" less depth than the 11". It did hit on the 7 1/2 Nickel good. The 7 1/2" dime and 8" quarter you could just barely hear. The sounds were really soft on the dime and quarter. Softer than the 11". If I wasn't hunting to fast I think I would hear them check them out. The dime and quarter are clad. I thought silver would hit the same as clad. I'll have to try that this spring.

In all metal the 5x10 coil can be lifted about 2" over the 7 1/2" dime and 8" quarter with a clearer hit than disc. Not bad. I'm going to try switching to all metal on those targets you can barely hear in disc. You get no bars at the top in all metal that deep but still if you hear it disc and switch to all metal it will help on how the signal sounds I think.

Hi Ken,

I look forward to hearing your field report out with the 5x10. I think you are going to enjoy it. It looks like a keeper to me.
