It's been about 2 weeks since I dug a coin. I am going through withdrawal missing those wonderful AT Pro tones. I finished wrapping up my Christmas presents and took them to the post office to mail them today. It was -27 outside with a biting cold north wind. I grabbed the AT Pro, headed to a nearby snow hill and hunted for a half hour. The battery indicator bars went from 4 bars to 2 bars in thirty minutes. I then called it a day.

I managed 2 coins.....one penny, which has been out of circulation for over a year and a nice Polar Bear 2 dollar coin.....quite appropriate for today's hunt. :)

Man Oh Man! Thats some serious "freeze your nose shut" weather! Nice 2 dollar find though, you proved Winter hunting can be done if a fellow has a bad detecting addiction! :please:

Brrrrrrrr!!! I can almost feel that cold wind sneaking down my neck and up my sleeves! Pretty nice that you snagged a $2 coin, pulls the average right up!
Hang in there - the shortest day of the year is only two days away!! Keep moving and check your antifreeze! :hot:

Man after my own heart. Except, my heart couldn't take -27 degrees. $2.00 coins, wow. They would sure add up quickly for a Mudpuppy stab hunt. Here's to you John. HH jim tn

Yeah.2 dollar coins! :surprised:..some of our brothers really rack up the loot with those high denom coins...In the States, every once in a while we get a US dollar coin, and generally a few halfs which are rare as hens teeth down here...mainly we have to be happy with the Q's and D's and lots and lots of P's:sadwalk:

Toonies - cool! Needing a digging fix this time of year can be tough. I'm fortunate to be less than 45 minutes from the nearest ocean beach.

Surprised the coins didn't just freeze to the coil to save ya from diggin in the snow for them lol, HH
