hello guys well i am getting very very !@#$%^%^&* with this i have not gotten beeper them 4 inches with my Explorer is it just me or is some thing wrong i have got some good coins and a gold ring my first 2 weeks out with it but i have not hit any thing deeper then 4 inches i have looked at the books and at all the forms i do need more time with the Explorer but i get out 4 to 5 day a week with it i work at home so i can do that
i do fill like i am getting to know the Detector some what good i am not new to Detecting and have some time in to it but like i sed i am getting very $%^%^&* but i will not give up i be play with the settings to get to know it better but i just dont no geeerrrrr LOL

Might not have gone over anything deeper yet Richard.. cant find what is not there... keep on trying.. Dont think I got anything real deep in my first 2 weeks either...
 
Sounds like you are doing pretty good Richard. I'd be embarrassed to tell you what I had found in my first two weeks with the Explorer. I agree with Jim in that you may not be in places that there are deep coins. Deep coins are not everywhere, there has to be some history, lack of fill, proper soil and ideally, low trash. Keep reading the manual, Andy's book, the BBS forum and this forum. Pretty soon the deep ones will be popping up pretty regular for you. Good luck and good hunting!
 
Also, don't swing too fast. I usually take 3 or 4 seconds per swing each way. More if it is trashy.
