I can't believe the day has come.....

My wife lost her beloved father-a REAL man that loved his daughter enough that whenever he found out she was going to be a person with special needs dropped out of the oil field where he was making tons of money and became a teacher for special kids. It would take a book to tell of all the benefits she received from his (and her mother's) special care. Well, it turns out that we were financially able to retire because of his well thought out estate that basically takes care of her for the rest of her life. We had no qualms about leaving- although leaving friends was hard. I can hardly believe the day has come that I can-any day of the week- get my trusty Compadre, or MX5, or any of the other specially equipped detectors and search to my hearts content. And she no longer has to listen to thoughtless managers riding her for being too "slow" or losing patience with her because her explanations take a little longer than most. The Lord is faithful to take care of His own.

Beautiful story about a man and woman who took care of their daughter and never asked for anything from anyone I bet. Such responsibility is not really heard of today. A sad loss for everyone.

Beautiful testimony Man..I really thank you for doing this post in His honor...I hope you find some solace in this trying time and wish you the best life you can live remembering this Great Man and sharing his dedication with the young guys you may meet along the way...Life can be very hard, and he stepped up and took care of his Family! Mr. Slingshot,

So sorry to hear of your loss. A wonderful father (and mother) taking care of their daughter. Family taking care of family - something I truly believe in.

Great story. I wish the best for you and your wife.
