Out driving around this morning, when I came across a recent torn down house. I detected some old spots that were still available, and under a tree I found 30 of those sex tokens. What a crazy hunt! After supper I hunted a soccer field close to home and got most of the loot from there.

Below are a couple of foreign coins found in the field.

So what kind of place is Edmonton anyway? I have never found even one of those tokens. Probably because most of the world's supply seems to be buried up in Canada! You're getting out a lot lately. Glad to see it!

After doing a little research.. and by little I mean about 15 minutes Googling, it appears the "Sex" tokens were used for peepshow booths in the 60s and 70s and almost all mentions of them refer to them being from peep show machines in Edmonton. After the machines were phased out, apparently the tokens were sold and given away as gags, sold as souvenirs in sex shops and were passed out on the street to entice people to enter the shops.

But it is Google after all, so who knows? It's still a cool find and there are some for sale on eBay in worse condition than the ones you have in that photo.

Down here in Florida, we don't have tokens. You just use pinecones or oranges.

They used to have a song about moonshine. If you leave a dollar in the hollow of a tree and come back in an hour and you'll have some shine
in the same location and the money gone. Honor system, I guess if it works for selling moonshine whiskey, it would work for other vices.
John, I really would like to have one of those tokens. How much you want for one? I've never seen anything like that, even after two years in the U.S.Army. Brothels I've seen, but never a sex token. When my nephew or niece's children ask me what S-E-X means, I will honestly reply, that's Mexican for six. lol They said I needed to change with the times. Get technologically literate and bilingual. Adapt, overcome and improvise. Who says an old dog can't learn new tricks.....lol
