I can't believe I did this... My compadre and me..Hunt #17

My F70 came back from Fisher and it is almost like new. I packed up the Compadre and put it in the locker. I did 3 hunts with the F70 and this morning I took the compadre out of the locker and put it in the car and put the F70 in the house. I went to the volley ball court with all the pennies and dug 59 more pennies and one quarter. It is 800 plus pennies that I have dug from here. I still have over 1/2 of the volley ball court to go to pick up some more of the pennies. Tomorrow I am heading to a tot lot to detect because I hit this tot lot every 6 weeks. It is hair (dye) day tomorrow. I go detecting near the shop because it is like 30 miles so I just stay around the area until she is done. I am leaving the compadre in the car for tomorrow. What can I say, I like to swing the compadre. Thanks for stopping by........Z

Good work! :clapping:

Although I'm a bit dismayed to hear of your traitorousness regarding the F70, but since I've not yet had the pleasure of swinging a dreaded 'T' unit, I will defer final judgement until that date (if ever) arrives!..I, as a friend, will henceforth advise you to take the 70 along just in case, in fact, they are both light enough, you should be able to swing one in each hand!:lmfao:...Zeek, I am amazed at your results, going from a multi tone rig to a single beep and all, especially for a man of your vintage...you are doing right well with the Compadre! :beers:

30 miles for a hair dye job? Sheesh! Whats the deal with that? Interestingly, its also 'hair dye' day tomorrow over here on this side of the pond! Not for me, mind you, for I have none left, but for my resident Mother-in-Law, who favors a fine opaque blueish silver hue, in a decent backlight, it looks quite a bit like a spider web... very fitting on her, most likely a warning color tactic like a chameleon has, or a frog or something, all to avoid driving the speed limit in the left lane, or right lane, heck in any lane...except on the shoulder or sidewalk, then, she falls right in with the bicyclists in both speed and spandex!

the compadre is a fun detector, you must have found a penny dump, I found a table like that close to a store and seems like whoever sat down just threw the pennys away I must have found a hundred of them .

You're making me want to pull out my Compadre and take it for a spin.:detecting:

Z.....

Once you become a member of the cult...er...uh,,,church, it is very hard to revert back. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Mud you are a man who is always interested in saving a buck. Her sister does her hair they tell me that I am saving $50 to $100 every time. So the 30 miles is nothing. I also haven't paid for a hair cut in 43 years. So a good bonus there too. Mud I have learned that you never say anything about the hair except, "you look beautiful."

Gunnar I have been detecting this spot for 2 years maybe have hit it 7 or 8 times and every time I go I find more pennies. The compadre is finding those deep pennies and I think I just may end getting close to all of them this year.

Tabman the compadre is just detecting in its simplest form. I still can't really tell if it is a good coin signal yet? Maybe one day I will notice that I do know when it is a good coin signal? I can now tell a surface signal most of the time.

Randy sure give me another reason to drink. Some times I think I like the people that belong to the church because they seem to be a lot like me. They just like to detect.

Thanks guys and see you tomorrow ....Z

Z with any luck, Mud will keep it zipped and not tell the other guys on the Fisher Forum of your bad deed!!! We don't want those Fishers guys to know you are using the other brand!

Rainyday I have switched so many, many times. There is always one detector that I traded and always wished I still had. The DeLeon. So who knows??? Maybe trade??? As I get older simple is much better. Trade?? Could be??? Thanks.....Z

He'll be back..just like in high school when he dated the girls from the other town...sooner or later, he came on home!....or maybe not, whatever, I can always use a back up F70 if he ever decides to sell his...of course, he will have to autograph it with a silver sharpie first..I'd pay premium for that one!:clapping:
Mud.

Mud, I did that other town thing ONCE. I came back. The price with an autograph significantly increases the value! It won't be cheap!

Mud the autograph is cheap but you are going to have to pay a lot for the experience the F70 has.:detecting:
When I left home my mother gave me one heck of a piece of advice. She said watch out for all those nasty women. And that is what I did watched out for all those nasty women....:yikes: .....Z
