Ma or Pa would say, "there's kids starving in Korea...so clean up your plate" 'Course that was really directed at my sisters 'cause I ate everything ma put on the table. When I was a young fella, of about eight, our family was so poor that we actually had a dirt floor in the kitchen. A year later, we were all put up for adoption...so eating what was put before me wasn't a problem.
