I moved to W.Va. about a month ago from Fl. In Fl. I was a coin and beach MDer. I got 17 rings last year. I post on other forums a lot. Here in W.VA. detecting seems a little different. My discriminating isn't as good in this soil. Some of the things I'm digging up looks like some of the things I see in your posts. I need to quit throwing things I see as trash away. I am from W.VA. and I know some good places to MD. One place I want to go to is a two mile walk in the woods. It is an old two room log cabin. The only thing left is the foundation stones. I know the lay out of the grounds from back then. My mother was born in that cabin. I'm 53 and I hope to Md it in about two weeks. Hope the weather warms up.
I found a bayonet at my cousin's farm when I was 6 yr. old. We were berry picking and we came home through the corn field. I found a sharp pointy thing that was fun to stick in the ground. He lived south of Norwalk OH. Seems like a funny place to find a bayonet. I haven't made a big deal of it and have kept it in my tool box. This picture was taken 6 months ago.
