I used the 3030 for about 30 days straight beach hunting for 79 hrs. I benched the 3030 and took the Excalibur back for a beach walk. I can't conclusively say either one was better that the other. I kept thinking I was missing targets with the 3030 but the Excalibur did not find any deeper targets than the 3030. I hunted longer with the Excalibur 6hrs and it was closer to the 4th of July then with the 3030 so I am not surprised by the target count being much higher. I did get to answer some question. The Excalibur was on a null fest as the beach I hunt sometimes is just iron infested. The way I had the 3030 set combined tones fe line a 24 I was hearing all the iron as a low tone and they were all 35-?? 33-?? so I was happy to see it wasn't any different with the Excalibur. This was an eye opener to me as I now have some options with the 3030 to help hunting on these beaches.I am just sharing an honest opinion of testing. I thought others would like to hear my take thus far.
Here's the take with the Excalibur anyways. Oh by the way a Radio Shack detector would have found the 729.00 MSP Watch it sounded like a garbage can! It was knee deep two scoops.1 merc and a buffalo, Tungsten Carbide ring and little 4 loop silver ring.96 total coins.
