Did you find it in wet sand or dry? Just curious. Cubfan64 and I went out all day and started at 6am. Horrible wind gusts up to 45 mph and the waves killed. Cubfan64 found some nice stuff but I was SKUNKED SKUNKED.
 
hard to describe, but you can just tell it has more of a "dulled" gold quality to it - less polished and shiny, but I like it that way :).

It never ceases to amaze me the number of good rings and jewelry items people find in playgrounds - sand and woodchips especially. I know of a guy who posts on another forum who just cleans up with gold and silver finds in city and school playgrounds. I swear he must live in Hollywood, CA for all the real jewelry those kids lose!!!
