I went down to Kitty Hawk for Saturday evening and Sunday morning metal detecting. I may have picked the wrong spots, but after 2-3 hours of hunting each day, I only found two quarters, a nickel, a penny and a little bit of junk. There were no signals to be found for long stretches. I ended up going to a sand vollyeball court at one of the bigger beach parking areas and found a few bottle caps and a small silver bracelet.

The beaches are so long down there that it is nearly impossible to find a good area unless you have insider information.

That must be why I couldn't find anything. Those towers were really working last weekend. Hopefully they will turn them off for you this weekend and the targets will reappear!
