It arrived today and all looks good...... detector w/straight shaft, rain cover, carry case, hip-neck mount, 2 battery packs......I paid 800 and its only been used a couple hours.... I think that was good.......I hope......

Took it out to the beach to give it a go.....Standard settings, disc-mask on, sens about 12:00. I sure love the different sounds, highs-lows and nulls....Quite different than my sand shark.... Messed around and found some pulltabs, cans and pennies...... Unlike all my other times at the beach I did not go home w/ a pocket full of iron...... I heard bunches of nulls and checked around each one and found a couple good targets by a couple...

If I got a small change in threshold or a little blip that couldnt repeat would switch to allmetal PP and find it.... A couple I never recovered, had a 2 foot hole and still digging.... gave up...

Berried a dime and a quarter about 7-8 " and did a test.... The dime no peep in disc..... Allmetal I could find it.......The quarter could just get a threshold change in disc....Would have dug the quarter but missed the dime..... I see why people search in am PP... Sure is a lot deeper....

If anyone has handy the link to the instructions how to put a switch on the handle to go from disc to am it would be great......That is something I am definitely going to do..... My local pc guy can do the actual soldering for me...

Now I just have to learn all the sounds and get a bigger coil......

Dealers: The first one of you that contact me w/ a 15" wot in stock gets my business......!!!!!!

As far as weight..... I was expecting something heavy...... This thing is light and well balanced...... Its as easy to swing or easier than my sand shark...

Did I mention I love the sounds it makes...... I tried a friends v3 the other day and it sounded like the slot machine area of a casino......

800.00 bucks that is a great deal without the extra,s , the Sov GT is a quite machine until it hits a good target  good luck Jim:

Do a search in this forum for "remote pinpoint" or something similar. I posted a schematic for making a remote PP circuit on the GT.

Here you go...my latest GT remote PP switch schematic...
