I am STUCK in indian mode!!!!!

New member
I think I am stuck in an indian ONLY phase it seems. I go out to the fields and find indian,.... indian, ......indian, but no silver now for over 3 weeks, closing in on a month. Hit a new site again and 3 more indians, 1874, 1875, 1891.....don't get me wrong I LOVE indians, but would like more than one old silver per month lol

I just checked and I have dug 27 indians since my last silver back in October.............

At 200+ silver per season, I think you may have "sucked" Ohio dry! LOL!!

I only have 92 silver this yr, actually my worse yr since owning the etrac for last 4 yrs, doubt I even break 100 this season, once I start field hunting silver finds drop off almost o nothing

I just hoping for one more to hit 50 silver for the year. I have been in Large Cent, Half Cent and Colonial copper mode this year. My best year ever for those. On Saturday I got an 1827 and 1847 laying on top of each other in the same hole. The prior weekend I got an 1841 small date and a 1775 George III Irish Half Penny.

wow I'd gladly switch problems with ya! :clapping:

That's a lot of Indian's in that short of time !
From everyone's posts ... it seems like there's a higher ratio of Silver coins around the old standing houses then in the fields ?

I'm having a hard time sympathizing. I've only found 4 Indians in 15 years of detecting! :ranting:

Every time I read your posts, I want to move to Ohio - then I think about your winters!

These darn processors develop a taste for certain things over time... You have to retrain it Goes...........:poke:

it makes no sense because everywhere I am hunting is homesites in the fields. Not like I'm just walking around blindly in an open field

There's an old wives tale that said that Indians just hated being cooped up in people's pockets. So they chewed their way out to escape.
BELIEVE IT OR NOT

I wish I had your problems Terry, I'm stuck in memorial mode!! GL&HH

Wow Goes4ever, one should be so lucky as to have access to such hunting spots. I'd dig indians all day long with a smile so long as there was a chance of getting the ones from the 1870's (always hoping for that rare 1877) and earlier. :)

How about that! The day after posting this I found Number 5! Woo hoo! :bouncy: Now I'm averaging one every three years! Funny part is I don't think I would have found this one had it not been for TTF! Thanks to Goes4Ever!!!
