I am so ready to order that T2...Somebody stop me!

I'm fighting something fierce to keep from jumping on this detector. Now...#1

I really don't need it, but my wife loves Teknetic's detectors. She hunts with a Teknetic's Competion Model. It doesn't do much but she holds her own against my GTI 2500. Here's my delima.....

What's going to happen if I buy her this machine... I know it would never out hunt my GTI 2500, so I'm not too worried about it! But... you tech guys tell me...Should I be worried?

The wife's been detecting two years longer than me and she's done very well...Here's a picture of her Tek. She has a night light, no dials to watch sound only! 8 frequencies, and Wireless Infared headphones...Big deal! I better not order this new T2 just yet. hehehe

#2 I've been reading about you guys having such a great time learning this new detector. I can't wait till your actually able to get out and use it everyday in warm weather. I know there will be some great stories posted and some really good information on how it hunts. I sure have appreciated your posts so far, the information almost has me ordering one!

Any one out there that doesn't like it?

Anyone got any great finds to post with the story of the dig?

you better hold off on the T-2. Unless she agrees to cut you in on a percentage of her find's. from the look's of her detector, she looks like she means buisness !
By the way, What type of head-phone set does the Mrs have? Brand and weight? Also, the signals don't cross talk with the detectors signals?

Your wife hunts with a oldie but goodie and has learned the audio quite well to make it more than a competition machine...GTI 2500 is a bit bulky so you will lighten the load isn't the deepest in Disc. mode but those that use the all metal that ID's get nice depth. Imaging at about 6 inches is not accurate on a coin, but will surely tell you if its a can much deeper than that..Technetics have made fine machines over the years including your wifes so I guess its your call...Gosh I am glad my wife just collects Beanies...

Actually I changed the Headphones from 110 to 9 volts. It's and RCA Infared set. I paid like 29.00 for it and it will work on a 9 volt battery. The battery won't last too long...about 2 hours so I use rechargables. And no there has been no interferences so far....I use a
GH 760 Wireless headphone set about 29.00 out of hong kong Type is called GO ON, and it is really great!
We have to use separate types (Infared and FM) cause we like to hunt together, We often stay 25 feet apart and have had no interference.
The freedom of the Wireless Headphones is great!No Doubt a great add on to your system !

Hello KCK,

I can already tell your wife is an excellent hunter use using the Turbo Tek, She'll adapt quickly to the T-2.

Plus, You'll eventually get a T-2 as well when your 2500 can't detect the same deep signal your wife's T-2 can

The Mrs. is the one who loves these Teks more than I do. I really appreciate the older Teks. But she is dead set on Tek Only!
She says my GTI 2500 is JUNK! hehehehe
