I am posting this one for my grand daughter Anika. She has been detecting again!!!

Anika wanted to do some detecting at the school near by. Grandma took her under her wing and helped her a long in a little lesson on barkchippin' 101. I am afraid that when Anika gets as good with a detector as Nancy, I won't have anything left to find!

This Anika in the place we hunted ( I took this picture last fall and she has grown and improved her technique since then).

Here are her pennies. She found a total of 28.

These are her good finds for the day. The coins are all clad, but she did manage some jewelrey. Just like her grandma, a jewelrey magnet! The ring is a mood ring and she was happy to find that and is wearing as I write this.

Not shown are the live .22 shells that she found and I took away. Just like an Idaho school, live ammo in the playground.

We did not stay too long as she had had a lot of juice before we left and like Vernon, no place to go. I am going to have to stay real sharp to keep up with my two girls (Anika and Nancy).

What a fun day in the warm sunshine. DC

Nice one, Grandpa. I detected with my 6-year old grandson two weeks ago in maui. He's really looking for the "pirate treasure!"

Hello D.C.,

At this rate, when the weekly, Sunday telecast of The MDL, The Metal Detectorists' League, on ABC, finally arrives, Anika will be a regular on the post hunt show as, the most successful participant, MSP.

Respectfully,

The Nutty Teacher
