I sure do hope I got a good one and have no trouble with it. I have used a T2 for a year+ so I will know if it is not acting right and some of what to check. There seem to be too many people having problems.
When I got my T2 I struggled with it for two weeks before calling FT and being told to wiggle the coil connection, then the tighten it... that smoothed it out but I finally had to send it back for repair, recently actually.
They had to replace the coil, the foam handle, rebraid and resolder the connections, and something else I can't remember, new sticker on the face I think...
It run's better than it ever has, I think it was alway's a little off, but now I know what to expect from a T2/F75.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I'm also going to buy a Cortes, i'm tired of my trying to get my GT work in iron, it's all null all the time...
Right now in heavy iron I use a Tejon with a 5.75 coil and it work's really well but I want a TID when I coinshoot, i'll still use the Tejon in heavy iron for relics and the F75 other places. Of course I am going to try the F75 everywhere!

I can just get my wife to put off the "home improvement" projects she has scheduled for the next few days? (No chance of that, I have to live here).
Here I am with a new detector, remodelling the kitchen and hanging new light fixtures.

Oh well...

I think I got a good one. I run's very smoothly. I onlly got to use it for a few minutes before it began to rain. I am at my wife's office. It used to be residentian and someone planted a Bud Light bottle cap garden in the front yard. The T2 never was very good at iding them but the F75 does it very well. I put it in bc mode and DP tone and threw a clad and a silver quarter out. It is a world of difference in the audio response between the bottle caps and the quarters... I am very happy so far. It has stopped raining now so I am going back out.

More later.
