With the influx of used Etracs onto the market that the CTX caused, us Tesoro guys can afford one now....

I have a low-mileage Etrac on its way to me as I write. I'm gearing up for the learning curve by reading as many these great posts as I can between work and sleep....

I'm totally, absoluetly THRILLED to be getting an Etrac!! So many old schools near where I live that I could only skim before!

Hopefully, I will eventually be able to add something valuable to this forum.....

Good job picking up an E Trac John :)

I bought mine second hand a few weeks back, fantastic machine. I was worried about it being hard to learn but it's not so bad.
I have been going over areas I went over with my AT Pro and have been pulling out coins and targets I never heard because of the trash.

Really love this machine!

You will love it! I hunted my front yard to death with a Vaquero from different angles and now the Etrac, oh my! I found at least 25 more old coins in a 50ft by 30ft area and it's still giving them up! Mostly Indians. The Vaquero is a good machine but the Etrac is just that much better in trash.

Good luck!

Jeff

Congrats on getting an e-trac! Get the time on it and you will love it. now you get to go back to every place you have hunted and dig up what was missed by the other detectors.

Welcome.

What are we like the aliens in th "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" waiting until other detector users fall asleep and replace them with a pod person?

In all seriousness you will love the E-Trac and will be able to find great stuff with it hiding in the trash. Learning curve is not that big you will catch on quite quickly and we are looking forward to your finds posts!

I bought a Compadre back in February as an addition to my passion for gold prospecting (Michigan has trace amounts - you just have to find it). So, I'm fairly new to MDing. I love my Compadre, so I bought a Vaquero. I "like" my Vaquero, but it only gets good depth in "all metal." I realized that digging every piece of junk that I find is not for me....

The moment of my conversion came when I compared the number of "deep silver with my etrac" videos to the number of similar Vaquero videos on Youtube.

Why should I sit on the side of the road when I can buy an Etrac and get on the Freeway?

Show me the Seated Liberties, Indian Heads, and Barbers!
