I am really liking my new to me G2 it gets pretty good depth and target seperation is awesome that being said have any of you fine folks on here used both the T2 & G2? I got the G2 to use as a relic machine and also it's abilities in bad ground, would a T-2 beat the depth capabilities of the G2 by a whole lot? And does the T-2 separate in iron trash and still pull goodies like the G2? What would the learning curve be on the T2 and would it perform in bad ground like the G2? Also I have heard a lot of people prefer the standard T2 over the T2 LTD why is that? Thanks folks

I have been using my G2 for over 2 years and will NEVER get rid of it. Depth wise in mild ground it seems to max out around 9" on Civil War minie balls. To get deeper I bought a T2 SE...truthfully it only seemed to get about another 1" of depth (and that was hunting in boost mode) with quite a bit more noise than the G2 (even when not in boost)...I found myself going back to my G2, so I sold it. The guy I sold it to here on Findmall sent me a recent email saying that he was not to impressed with the T2 SE depth woith standard coil, but he is using the Ultimate 13" coil on it and is kicking butt depth wise. I have been using the 13" Ultimate coil on my G2 for the past 2 months and it does indeed increase the depth of the G2 about 2". Last weekend I dug a Gardner at a measured 11". So...the T2 is a good machine but I prefer a quiet machine. Bill

Thanks for your info Bill!!!!!

Here is my opinion on this I just picked up a T2 not the Se,and after about 15hrs of use I picked up a gold ring. The Vdi numbers are very close to the same quarters read a little higher on T2.
I am currently going back to the sights I have pounded with the G2 just to see if I missed something. T2 is going to be my main machine I am going to use the G2 as a backup. but I will never get rid of it.
