I am liking my F75!!

What was I thinking, took way too long to try one of these machines. Found a nice musket mainspring at a Union campsite along with a few shot bullets and cannister on a skirmish line. I feel as if I am not missing anything when I swing this machine. The Sunray pinpointer and pvc stand that I made sure add the weight though. I am thinking of switching to a Uniprobe or Garret pinpointer. Any suggestions?

I've been using the Garrett ProPointer for the last few months and wondered how I ever got along without it. It's light weight, built like a tank and works great, and I'm still on the original battery. It's so light I keep touching my hip to make sure it's still in the holster. I love it.

Why Add weight anyway ?. Just go to E bay and buy a "Hand " pinpoint probe ,that weights no more than a cell phone and you don`t add any weight .
For the life of me i cannot see why peple add another couple of ibs onto their detector when the answer is in a hand probe that can be easily placed in your pocket. The "Whites bulls eye "probe ,is a perfect example of a light and "handy" pinpoint probe.

Garrett pinpointer is what i use. Just don't wash it like a crazy person like I did. I always wanted to keep it new looking and forgot it wasn't the Waterproof Vibra-probe. Which doesn't jive with my F75 by the way. Garrett is the way to go.

Nice finds! The F75 is the best machine I have used and I also wish I had bought one sooner. I use the Sunray FX-1 with mine and I couldn't do without it. It weighs very little and I don't even notice the weight. I have the probe mounted under my forearm on the armrest - rather than on the top of the rod like others do. This keeps the weight more in balance. Also - be careful with the handheld pinpointers - my F75 would freak out when I used the Vibraprobe from the interference. You will find the more you use the machine, the more you get comfortable cranking it up, and the deeper it will go. It is truly an amazing machine. Good luck, Ian
